This golden fall! My current guests, Leo and Elly in particular, are enjoying the beautiful, warm weather with romps through the crunchy fallen black walnut leaves, chasing the foraging squirrel with the hope a catch. My own girl, Zsofie, who is currently recovering from knee surgery, gazes out the window, yearning to be in on the fun.

TECHNOLOGY

I have finally decided to slowly begin to embrace technology. Well, maybe not so much embrace as to try a tiny, tiny taste. There is just so much new stuff out there and everything changes so quickly, but after reading reviews of the smart phone credit/debit card apps, I took the plunge and happily report that Al's Boarding Kennels is now accepting credit and debit cards (as well as checks and good old cash). I am very pleased with the ease and simplicity of the Square app (http://squareup.com for more info) that I chose.

I am also seeing an increase in web site traffic and information and reservation requests via e-mail.

It really has been a wonderful summer! Lots of fun guests and new walking buddies, but many changes as well as some long time clients have moved onward and upward and relocated to many different areas of the country. I will definitely miss seeing these pups!

A reminder that the winter holidays are approaching! I do not want to rush this spectacular fall, but Thanksgiving and Christmas space does fill up fast!

Hello and Welcome to a new feature from your friends at Al's Boarding Kennels! We decided to add a blog to keep all of our friends and clients up to date on news and changes here at Al's.

I am so happy with a new improvement! I just added SolaTube lighting to one of the kennel buildings and the change is amazing. The work was done by SolarMidwest. Installation was quick and very professional and the result is a much brighter space. Our guests really seem to have noticed the change and approve!!! We will be able to light this building completely with natural light - GO GREEN!

Finally, summer is here and I do want to remind everyone to be sure to start or continue heartworm preventative for your pets, as well as flea and tick prevention.
